The Soft Plastics & Pet Food Packaging Recycling Box is specifically for recycling your practice's pet food packaging and soft plastics, including sterile packaging, non-contaminated dry fluid bags, and more. All you have to do is fill the box with eligible items and book in a collection. It's the ideal next step in your journey towards becoming a more sustainable practice.
How does it work?

- The box will arrive at your practice
- Fill your box with clean, dry, uncontaminated packaging
- When it's full, close it up and call the number on the box to arrange collection
- Order your replacement box from Vet Direct.

Get the most out of your Recycling Boxes
For best use, you might want to consider
- Placing small collection bins close to your consult rooms and dispensary to easily separate your recycling
- Folding and tying up plastic packaging as small as possible to fit in as much as you can
- Following the video instructions for assembling the flat packed box, once delivered to your practice
Includes a recycled box liner, convenient free collection of your full box, and the recycling of your eligible waste.

- All waste will be clean, dry and not contaminated with pharmaceuticals or clinical waste.
- Timed collections will allow +/- 1 day
- Boxes heavier than 20kg will incur an additional £25 per box
- If the collection does not happen when the courier arrives to collect the box there will be an additional £15 missed collection box charge.
- Damaged, leaking or unsealed boxes will not be collected and a missed collection box charge of £15 invoiced.
- Any collection cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to the telephone number on the box.
- The practice agrees to take responsibility if damage occurs whilst loading the box.
- If reloading or cleaning is required due to your box in transit to the recycling plant a cleaning and/or reloading charge of £100 per hour will be charged.
- If manual unloading at the recycling plant occurs due to your box on the load, a manual unloading fee of £200 p/h will be charged
Vet Direct offer same day dispatch for next day delivery on over 5,000 stocked items.
- Free delivery is available when you spend over £75.
- Delivery charges apply when your basket ex VAT is under £75.
- Some items require shipping on a pallet for which there will be an additional charge. Customer Care are able to advise of this.
- There are additional delivery charges for products we ship directly from the supplier to your practice. These delivery costs vary dependent upon the product and courier service. Please call Customer Care on 0800 068 3300 for a quote including delivery if there is a lead time for your chosen item.
Returns
Non-faulty returns are accepted within 3 working days of dispatch subject to a restocking fee. Please contact Customer Care to arrange the return and obtain a returns number. Further information on our returns policy can be found here: Vet Direct Returns
Please note that special order items or items shipped directly from the supplier to your practice are not eligible for refunds unless faulty.
